How It All Began

On a warm July day in 2017, destiny set its wheels in motion when Calle made her first trip to Georgia to visit her childhood friend, Mallory. It was during this memorable trip, amidst the laughter and sun-soaked moments at a local lake, that Calle and Alex first crossed paths. Alex, charmed by Calle's presence, found himself eagerly volunteering to drive her to the airport—a simple act that marked the beginning of something special. Over the next few years, each of Calle’s visits to Georgia became an opportunity for the two to connect, with Alex always ensuring he was the one to offer her a ride, subtly weaving himself into the fabric of her visits.

A Friendship Blossoms

Fast forward to April 2022, at the wedding of Mallory and Dakota—their great friends. Calle and Alex, both part of the wedding party, found themselves in each other's company more than ever before. The spark that had ignited years ago began to burn brighter, and as Calle returned to Missouri, they kept the flames alive with texting, playing mobile games, and sharing snippets of their lives.

Turning Points

March 2023 brought new beginnings; Calle returned to Georgia to observe in the preschool classroom she would be teaching in the upcoming school year. Serendipitously, it coincided with Alex’s 26th birthday, and they celebrated together at Dave and Buster's—an outing that felt special and packed with fun. Soon after, when Alex faced the loss of his beloved cat, Snowball, Calle’s thoughtful care package not only brought him comfort but also showed him, and Alex's mother, Jennifer, the depth of her empathy and care.

A New Chapter Together

July 2023 marked a significant leap in their journey. As Calle moved to Georgia for her new job, an unexpected accident during the move saw Alex stepping into the role of a knight in shining armor. His swift actions to rescue Calle and her belongings from a challenging situation won over her mother, Michelle, sealing his place as 'the one' in her eyes.

Love and Adventures

Their connection deepened rapidly, translating into frequent dates, shared interests, and pure joy in each other's company. They embarked on whirlwind travels, from the charming streets of Savannah, GA, where they dined on a boat cruise, to the historic spectacles of Paris and the delightful tastes of Italy. Each adventure brought them closer, culminating in a magical proposal on a beachside dock in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. A trip filled with the breathtaking beauty of cenotes and the thrill of swimming with dolphins.

A Future Together

After their engagement, Calle and Alex continued to make memories, exploring the stunning landscapes of Banff and the exhilarating currents of white-water rafting in Canada. Their most recent festivity was an engagement party, a joyful occasion that brought together family and friends in celebration of their upcoming union.
